Finished up some more AA, quite happy with the result. This is also one of my first attempts to use a filter. Used the AK Filter for Nato tanks with a couple of layers, I think it adds some depth to the minis. But not sure if I like the change to the bit darker colour. I will put some pictures up soon of a recently painted Sherman platoon, which I also used filters on.
This is also one of my first attempts to paint rank chevrons on to the minis. After a lot of researching on the platoon organisation, I came to the conclusion that there should be one Sergeant in each platoon and the rest is privates. Not sure how many corporals and etc. was in the team. The command team consist of a plt. commander (a lieutenant) and a (staff) sergeant and a runner/private. Painted the chevrons first with german grey and then Iraqi Sand.
The basing should look like they deployed on a field somewhere in France.
Currently working on a repaint of my US Assault company, lots of infantry stands..
Here you can see the rank chevrons painted on the left arm.
This one has a lot off spend shell casings, to add some realism.
