US Engineers platoon with transport and dozer

Some time ago i painted up a platoon of US engineers and support. Gave the uniforms some variation in different colours. Pretty happy with the overall result, just need to get better at basing and scenery modelling. I ain't satisfied yet.

Just need the new engineer support box set, with the dozer and trucks with stowage. Much cooler. Then I'll just use these trucks for my 105mm or as transport teams.

Tried to give the platoon a diorama look, by making connecting scenery across the bases. Also painted up a sherman dozer and 4 2 1/2 ton trucks.

Tried painting windows with black, some green grey stripes and gloss cote to finish them off. Kinda happy with the look.

M5A1 Stuart Light Tank Platoon

Sometime ago i painted up a platoon of Stuarts. Awesome looking tank! But damn it's small compared to a Tiger. Really loved how Battlefront modelled the tanks, especially the commanders and machine-guns, which is not just pointing straight ahead.

I added a lot of green stuff stowage, to give the tank the tank a bit extra.

Sadly the colour of the Stuarts doesn't look right in these pictures. But they are painted in the original US tank colour, Brown Violet.

Really need to find a sharper camera, it's hard to see the detail. I will be working on that.

The Devils Brigade

First Special Service Force Company

Finished up a company of FSSF troops, for Dogs and Devils and the new Road to Rome book.
A nice variation to the standard US troop, berets, Johnson machine guns etc. I really like the berets.

Figures looks a bit glossy on the pictures - not the case in real life.

The company command, 2iC and bazookas

Tried some Italy inspired basing, with some parched grass and some more dry colors used for the bases.

As you will see i choose to model one of my rifle teams with the flame thrower upgrade. Just for a bit of variety and coolness.
